Swincar Off-Road Tours

The swincar is a fully electric, all-terrain vehicle that is operated entirely with handheld controls. It’s a smooth, safe ride through the breathtaking scenery of Beaver’s Bend. One-seaters and two-seaters are available, allowing you to have a passenger to share the experience with.

Once you arrive and check in at our office, we will get you fitted for a DOT approved helmet, seat belted in and go over all of the safety requirements and driving instructions. 

You will get a chance to drive the car to see how it handles and then it’s off through our 2 mile trail through the forest in Beavers Bend State Park. There will be moderately steep hills and a few areas of technical driving through the trees, and an area where you can go a little faster. Be aware of weather conditions and dress appropriately. 

Dress appropriately for the weather on the course. All participants are required to wear closed-toed shoes with a heal strap (No high heels). Tennis shoes or hiking boots work well. Wear comfortable clothing but avoid loose clothing (no scarves, swim suits, etc.) and long hair must be secured back. Leave all jewelry and other valuables locked in your vehicle or at home. Rugaru Adventures is not responsible for property lost, damaged or stolen during your tour.
Note: It can get dusty on the trail, so consider bringing goggles or sunglasses, and a face-covering.

1. If I am driving, I am over the age of 18 with a valid driver’s license, or if I am riding, I have a signed waiver by a parent or guardian.
2. The passenger must be at least 4 years or older.
3. I am of adequate physical health and can complete all of the activities required on the course.
4. I am not pregnant, do not have any heart, leg, back problems or other serious illness.
5. I am less than 285 pounds for a single car or have a combined weight of 400 pounds for the tandem cars.
6. I am 6’5″ tall or less and able to fit safely in the seat with the seatbelt attached.  
7. I am not under the influence of alcohol, illegal or legal impairing drugs.
8. I will ensure that all long hair, jewelry, loose clothing is properly secured.
9. I will wear the proper attire when participating in the SWIN Car tour.
10. I have a valid drivers license if I am driving the SWIN car and will not let anyone without a license drive.
11. I will drive responsibly and will follow all rules.
12. I will stay on the trail and maintain the correct speed.
13. If I am negligent in driving the vehicle and do damage to said vehicle, I am liable for repair costs.
14. I will always wear all the required safety equipment during the tour and will not alter the equipment at any time.
15. I will not interfere with or distract the guides at any time during the tour.
16. I understand that WGF, LLC DBA Rugaru Adventures has the right to exclude anyone from participating due to medical, safety or other reasons deemed not be conducive to the tour.

Rugaru Adventures will provide an optional damage waiver at check-in to pay a damage deposit in the event you damage one of our vehicles.  The amount for the coverage is $10 per car.  If you elect to waive the damage deposit, you will be responsible for the repair expenses. Repair costs.

1. Turn East on 259A off of HWY 259 near the Wildlife Museum and the Beavers Bend State Park entrance sign.
2. Stay on 259A for 4.4 miles.
3. We are on the West side of the road, opposite from the Beavers Bend State Park and Nature Center.

Our Refund and Cancellation Policy

• All sales final.
• If we cancel your tour due to weather or other unforeseeable condition, we will reschedule your tour for another time, or give you a full refund… your choice.
• If you are late, you will not receive a refund or be able to join your tour. Your tour and guide will leave as scheduled whether you are there or not.
• If you get halfway through the course, and we cancel due to weather, you will get a partial refund. If your tour gets cancelled due to weather before you go out, then you will get a full refund.
