How long does it take to complete a tour?
You should plan for about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours. There’s orientation and travel to and from your starting location, then it’s about 2 hours for the zip line tour.
How much does it cost?
The 6 line tour that lasts about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours is $79/person.
What should I wear?
All participants are required to wear closed-toed shoes with a heal strap. (No high heels.) Tennis shoes or hiking boots work well. Wear comfortable clothing but avoid loose clothing (no scarves, swim suits, etc.) and long hair must be secured back. Leave all jewelry and other valuables locked in your vehicle or at home. (Rugaru Adventures is not responsible for property lost, damaged or stolen during your tour).
How safe is the zip line tour?
All activities have inherent risks. Our course is designed to mitigate these risks and meets or exceeds ACCT professional building standards. Guides are trained and our equipment is very high quality. We inspect the course and equipment daily.
Are there age restrictions?
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Are there weight restrictions?
The required participant weight range to zip line is 70 to 250 pounds and the harness must fit correctly. We discreetly weigh each participant when they arrive to our office for the safety of our guides and guests.
Are there height restrictions?
Guests must not be taller than 6’6″.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
All guests must sign a waiver. In addition, guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian’s signature on a waiver before zipping.
What if I am scared of heights?
Many get nervous about heights, but our professional, trained guides go with you at all times to make sure of a positive experience. No one is forced to do anything they are uncomfortable doing.
Do you operate in the rain?
We do, but we will close the course in the event of lightning, high winds, thunder storms or other weather related issues that could effect safety. If we know in advance that we will be closed, we will use every effort to notify you directly. If a tour is cancelled due to weather, you can either rebook or we will refund the tour cost. If you get halfway through the course you will get a partial refund and if your tour gets cancelled before you go out then they will get a full refund.
How much should I tip my guides?
Industry standard on tipping is 20%.
Are reservations required?
This depends on the season. If you arrive without a reservation, we will try to accommodate you, but safety and best practice standards must be maintained.
What is your refund policy?
- All sales final.
- If we cancel your tour due to weather or other unforeseeable condition, we will reschedule your tour for another time, or give you a full refund… your choice.
- If you are late, you will not receive a refund or be able to join your tour. Your tour and guide will leave as scheduled whether you are there or not.
- If you get halfway through the course you will get a partial refund and if your tour gets cancelled before you go out then they will get a full refund.
